Even a technically advanced TV with a huge diagonal and a gorgeous image will not be able to provide perfect sound when watching movies or when listening to music. Connoisseurs of high-fidelity sound find a solution in acquiring home theaters. But not everyone has enough room to accommodate it. The soundbar can be a solution - a monoblock active speaker whose speakers are controlled by a complex digital algorithm that very convincingly imitates the sound of an ordinary spatial acoustic system: a good soundbar, occupying a minimum of space in the room, can divide the soundstage not only along with the right-left directions but both "back and forth" and even "up and down," taking advantage of the characteristics of human hearing. The best wireless soundbar will not give a spatial sound but will give its better quality in comparison with the low-power speakers that are now built into flat panels.

The wireless soundbar is a device with a wireless connection to a subwoofer and the presence of bluetooth and WIFI. A modern soundbar can be paired with a sound source and an active subwoofer “over the air,” play audio from a local network, and much more.

Let's try to evaluate what the market can offer us. Having considered many models presented on the market, we will present our rating of the best and most popular sound panels, all of which have a separate subwoofer.

VIZIO SB46514-F6 - best overall

Our rating
7.2/10

VIZIO SB46514-F6

The large Vizio Dolby Atmos soundbar is 46 inches wide and 2.5 inches high. Its low profile makes it easy to slide under most TVs and should not block the IR receiver of TVs larger than 55 inches.

Inside the soundbar, you will find five drivers located in the configuration on the left, right, center, and height left, height, and right, which give you a set of 3.0.2. Add a huge subwoofer and rear satellites, and you will have a full 5.1.4 system.

What sets the SB46514-F6 apart from its younger brother is that the rear wireless channels have their own speakers that enhance the surround effect, plus the subwoofer goes from controlled 10 pounds to more than 25. This system hits even lower bass frequencies and kicks in. Are there any doubts that this unit is the best soundbar with wireless subwoofer?

As with other Vizio 2018 soundbar systems, the subwoofer and rear speakers do not need to be physically connected to the main soundbar, but instead, they only need to be connected to each other with the help of two long cables - one for each speaker. These cables carry both power and signal and make it such that even the most novice AV enthusiasts can get to work in the shortest possible time. VIZIO SB46514-F6

On the back of the soundbar, you'll find HDMI Out (ARC), HDMI IN, Optical Audio In, and 3.5 mm ports for audio, as well as USB and Ethernet ports. On the front panel of the soundbar, you will find, well, you will not find anything but a few LED indicators that blink to tell you what is happening. It would be nice if Vizio turned on a small LCD screen in front, but there is also a remote control itself if remembering LED patterns is not your problem.

This soundbar can transmit signals with the highest bandwidth, which means that the text will look crisp and clear if you connect the soundbar to a PC and TV.

You can turn on the eco mode, which will turn off the soundbar after some downtime. If you do not enable this feature, the soundbar will always be on. In addition, thanks to HDMI CEC support, you can control some basic panel functions with the TV remote control, such as volume.
