When comparing Samsung HW-Q80R vs Samsung HW-N850 I found out that both devices have 5.1.2 channels and 372W output power. The Samsung HW-Q80R Soundbar is a powerful combination of a mid-range soundbar and subwoofer. HW-Q80R can play Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio formats. This is not the only advantage of the considered soundbar. Bass lovers will be very pleased to watch the impressive large (8-inch) speaker located on the side panel of the subwoofer. Due to the side speakers, the consumer can not put this soundbar in a niche under the TV.

The HW-N850 is a simplified version of the HW-N950. This system has a configuration of 5.1.2; The set includes the main module and subwoofer. Novelties provide high quality sound. Declared support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies. In the recessed area below the soundbar, you will find connections that include two HDMI inputs and an HDMI output with ARC (Audio Return Channel). All HDMI connections support 4K / 60p, 4: 4: 4, Rec.2020, High Dynamic Range (HDR10 and Dolby Vision), 3D and HDCP 2.2.

Pros
- Touch sensitive buttons on the soundbar for volume level, inputs, and basically everything you need in a quick layout
- The controller is comfortable to hold. I found the enjoyment of seeing buttons for setting treble, bass, audio sync, and the levels of the various speakers
Cons
- Only two HDMI inputs. Basically your TV and a gaming console
Samsung HW-N850 pros & cons
Pros
- I have to point out that build quality is really top notch, and is very heavy for a sound bar
- It would eliminate all the complication of setting up multi speakers and wiring them all over the place

- Heavy front sound
