Samsung HW-Q80R review
Looking at these soundbars first we have to compare their audio features. Samsung boasts 5.1.2 channels and 372W of output power vs 5.1 channels and 510W from JBL. The Samsung HW-Q80R speaker system as a whole was developed jointly with sound experts from Harman Kardon. Despite the fact that the soundbar Samsung HW-Q80R is designed specifically for movies, it plays music very well. In fact, the panel can play FLAC, WAV, AAC, and ALAC files. Another great feature of the Samsung HW-Q80R is the use of its own high-frequency twitter. This allows the sound to spread over a wider range. Therefore, the consumer does not need to sit in a certain place in order to achieve maximum effect. 
JBL Bar 5.1 review
The soundbar is equipped with three pairs of 6 x 5.7 cm bass midrange speakers and three 3.2 cm tweeters distributed across the three front channels (left, right and center). Each surround speaker has a rubber base that allows them to be placed on most surfaces. Each of them includes a pair of mid-range speakers and a soft dome-shaped tweeter, as well as amplification and, consequently, a battery. JBL Bar 5.1 has three HDMI 2.0 inputs with support for HDCP 2.2 (UHD Blu-ray) and 4K up to 60 frames per second.

- You can adjust everything with the remote. They made it super simple and dummy proof
- Providing actual speakers for all of its 5.1.2 sound channels, the HW-Q80R soundbar provides an amazingly powerful, detailed, and spectacular soundstage while listening to music and watching movies

- No rear speakers

- Not only does it sound great, but it's just so awesome to show off
- You'll only need the JBL remote when you want to configure the settings

- I got scared when reading about people claiming the mids were non-existent
