The RX-V485 based on a classic 5.1-channel circuit with a 400-watt amplifier. However the device allows not only to sound the second zone. The multiroom is implemented through the proprietary Musiccast system. The device is able to receive Internet radio and work with the streaming services Spotify, Deezer, Pandora versus RX-V385, where there are no network interfaces. RX-V485 implements the proprietary YPAO auto-tuning system. Digital video switching includes four inputs and one HDMI output with support for 4K and HDR, including Dolby Vision. The music scene is wide, detailed and very voluminous. The tonal balance is slightly shifted to the edges of the range, as a result of which the spatial effects are perceived even brighter, and the basses gain depth.
