Yamaha RX-V485 vs Yamaha RX-V475

Yamaha RX-V485 review

At first glance 485th model has no differences from 475. Both have 5.1 channels, but what if we look deeper? Here we have 145/6 W/Ohm of power output vs 80/6. Digital video switching includes four inputs and one HDMI output with support for 4K and HDR, including Dolby Vision. A Full HD or lower resolution back-up signal can be upscaled to Ultra HD if desired, but I would advise that the TV itself let this work. Not because the receiver is doing poorly, but due to the fact that no one will prepare a signal for the matrix better than the native electronics of the panel itself. Yamaha RX-V485

Yamaha RX-V475 review

Anti-vibration radiators are designed to suppress vibration from transistors and sound pressure. Independent power supplies for the DACs are designed to further eliminate noise, and the rear panel has an Ethernet port. Connecting the RX-V475 to the network allows you to monitor it from Android or iOS devices. The RX-V475 includes HDMI Standby Through, which allows you to transfer audio and video from your sources to the display when the receiver is turned off. Yamaha RX-V475
