When reviewing this product from Yamaha YAS107 vs Bose Solo 5 rivalry I felt the next impressions. The YAS-107 includes some of the latest HDMI technology and gives you the flexibility to customize your entertainment room as you see fit. There is one HDMI 2.0a input with HDCP 2.2. This means that you can connect 4K UHD sources to the soundbar and then transfer this signal to your TV to take advantage of the high dynamic range (HDR-10, but not Dolby Vision) and the BT.2020 advanced color gamut in 4K UltraHD Blu- ray and 4K UHD. Its output power is 120W. There are 2.0 built-in channels.

I compared Bose Solo 5 vs Yamaha YAS107. What impressed me the most is Solo’s TrueSpace technology, at any point in the room you will get surround sound, Bose doesn’t say how much volume will be “busy”, but you can count on it somewhere around twenty meters. Videostage technology converts any input signal into a five-channel, and this, of course, also affects the quality. As they say, here's a simple, “basic” soundbar. There are 2.0 built-in channels. To add, this playbar has the power output of 100W.

Pros
- Very clear and simple instruction manual
- The remote control is also very simple and I like that you can control the level of bass and Surround
Cons
- The combination of overall size and the mounting hole placement (on the bottom). When hung, the sound bar now takes up 5 inches of wall height below your TV
Bose Solo 5 pros & cons
Pros
- If you want just one piece of gear for sound- this is it and is better than the TV. Small unit does fill the room
- Clear voice feature good (but not better than my tv or other soundbars)
- Overall adequate sound enhancement for BR like rooms but not exceptional
Cons
- Bose bass is good but my ears tell me their technology has been passed by other makers
