Bose Solo 5 Review and Specs

Bose Solo 5The small soundbar Bose Solo 5 - the model is not new, but well-deserved. According to the Bose Solo 5 specs, the solution may not be amazing, but even I was very pleased to use Solo 5 - despite acquaintance with older, advanced models. The thing is in the excellent combination of price and quality, and in the presence of a number of special functions that make use pleasant. Let’s see the rest of Bose Solo 5 review.

Features

Single soundbar provides better sound quality compared to your TV alone. It has dialogue mode to make every word and detail stand out. There are 2.0 built-in channels. To add, this playbar has the power output of 100W. TrueSpace technology, at any point in the room you will get surround sound. Videostage technology converts any input signal into a five-channel, and this, of course, also affects the quality.

Design and build

The appearance of the device is as neutral as possible, a sort of black long block with a single indicator light and a silver Bose logo. The huge remote control is convenient and can replace you with a remote control from a TV and other devices, for example, I use it with a TV and player. If you look closely, here you will also see the Bluetooth buttons, Bass, the first one is needed to activate a wireless connection. Yes, the soundbar can easily turn into a speaker for the living room, given that there are well-tuned speakers, this makes sense. They are directed in different directions to cover as much space as possible. In real life, sitting on a couch three meters from the TV, you don’t feel the lack of Solo 5 sound, no matter where you are.

Connectivity

At the back there are cable connectors, optical, coaxial, analog audio inputs, I advise everyone to use “optics”, fortunately, there is such a cable in the kit. A rear USB port is required for software updates.

Setup

In fact, the concept of “tuning” this system is said loudly. You just need to connect it to your TV with one audio cable of your choice: optical, coaxial or analog. The system itself will determine which connection you have selected. The ergonomic design of the system allows you to position the system almost anywhere - in front of the TV on a pedestal, on a shelf or even on a wall, using the special WB-120 mount (sold separately).

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • The music and sound effects of a movie do not cover over voice dialog
