The NR1508 is an entry-level receiver that only has 50 W/channel in 5.1 mode. Along with support for 4K HDR on 6 HDMI ports, it is also one of the first budget receivers to include HEOS multi-room system. It generates a nice clean sound. However, the Marantz NR1508 versus NR1509 has the HDMI video scaling what allows the receiver to work with any display resolution. The device also has Airplay and Bluetooth support, and an ability to work with external USBs. The receiver is tuned by the Audyssey MultEQ room correction system and the calibration microphone.
