Denon AVR-X4500H vs Onkyo TX-RZ840

Denon AVR-X4500H review

The device develops a rated output power of 120 W with a load resistance of 8 Ohms and has a 9-channel configuration. The multi-channel DTS: X format distributes the sound as it would naturally occur, and also creates realistic multi-dimensional sound. All eight HDMI inputs (including one on the front panel) and three HDMI outputs support HDCP 2.2 compatibility, as well as the latest HDMI specifications, including 4K Ultra HD 60Hz video, 4: 4: 4 Pure Color color sub-sampling, high dynamic range (HDR) and video format 21: 9, 3D and BT.2020. Onkyo TX-RZ840 review

Onkyo TX-RZ840 AV Receiver is THX Certified and IMAX Enhanced Certified Select. The model has IMAX Mode, and the Dynamic Audio Amplification system developed for the RZ series has allowed the device amplifiers to handle high currents. The TX-RZ840 is equipped with an 11.2-channel preamplifier output and 11-channel processing - thus, it can be used to implement the 7.2.4 speaker configuration (an external amplifier is required). Naturally, configurations 5.2.4 or 7.2.2 are also available. The receiver power is 180 watts per channel (6 ohms). Onkyo TX-RZ840

Denon AVR-X4500H pros & cons

Pros

  • Almost everything is customizable by hand, from crossover frequencies for outputting bass to a sub, to various delays depending on the distance of the speakers for the listener
  • There are no noise in the speakers when the sound is turned off

Cons

  • I didn’t like auto settings via the microphone neither for cinema, nor even for music

Onkyo TX-RZ840 pros & cons

Pros

  • The functionality and sound quality of the unit are great for a home theater
  • This is a big heavy receiver that has most of the latest extras people are looking for

Cons

  • One thing I'm very disappointed about is the fact Spotify isn't supported by Onkyo, the Apps shows up in the list of Music streaming services but Spotify will not connect
