The multi-channel DTS: X format distributes the sound as it would naturally occur, and also creates realistic multi-dimensional sound. All eight HDMI inputs (including one on the front panel) and three HDMI outputs support HDCP 2.2 compatibility, as well as the latest HDMI specifications, including 4K Ultra HD 60Hz video, 4: 4: 4 Pure Color color sub-sampling, high dynamic range (HDR) and video format 21: 9, 3D and BT.2020.

Onkyo TX-RZ840 review

Onkyo TX-RZ840 AV Receiver is THX Certified and IMAX Enhanced Certified Select. The model has IMAX Mode, and the Dynamic Audio Amplification system developed for the RZ series has allowed the device amplifiers to handle high currents. The TX-RZ840 is equipped with an 11.2-channel preamplifier output and 11-channel processing - thus, it can be used to implement the 7.2.4 speaker configuration (an external amplifier is required). Naturally, configurations 5.2.4 or 7.2.2 are also available. The receiver power is 180 watts per channel (6 ohms).
