Denon AVR-S740H review
These devices have 7.2 channels but different output power. Denon delivers 110W vs Onkyo’s 160W at 6 Ohms. Denon AVR-S740H has excellent sound, which is especially appreciated by music lovers. The receiver has Dolby Atmos and DTS: X decoders, a large number of HDMI ports with support for 4K HDR. To build a multi-room, there are HEOS and AirPlay 2. The lack of Chromecast can upset gadget users on Android. To properly configure the AV receiver, you will have to tinker with the adjustments, since the default settings here are not quite correct. 
Onkyo TX-NR646 review
The built-in DAC AKM 384 kHz / 32-bit can breathe new life not only into films, but also into high-resolution streaming music files. Built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay allow you to easily receive music from Internet services such as Spotify Connect and Deezer. You can also use the free Onkyo Remote app to receive streaming audio from mobile devices, view and select tracks from online services, and control playback in two zones. Plus, for fans of vinyl, the TX-NR646 is equipped with a phono input for connecting turntables. 
Denon AVR-S740H pros & cons
Pros
- Thanks to the Eco Mode, the output power is adjusted according to the volume level
- The HEOS companion app makes wirelessly sync the receiver to a compatible device to access content from most of the popular apps
Cons
- The UI has a very grainy text and not convenient navigation
- There is a little delay between video and audio during gaming due to the absence of the separate inputs for audio and video

Pros
- There is a Quick Setup function to simplify receiver setup
- It is possible to display an image in a 21:9 format
Cons
- The device has poor responsiveness to music playback commands such as pause \ start
