In order to fully enjoy the capabilities of the amplifier, the Onkyo TX-NR646 receiver has eight analog audio inputs and two parallel audio outputs for subwoofers, as well as a USB connector for connecting any device with media files.
The control system has a simplified setup interface, but its sound digital path is advanced: a quad-core 32-bit processor with all the necessary decoders, the ability to work with wireless connections (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), the standard Audyssey MultEQ XT auto calibration system using a remote microphone, and quite developed for an inexpensive model bass manager. Which, in particular, allows you to set not only different multichannel configurations and flexibly change the assignments of the sixth and seventh channels, but to vary the filter settings for each speaker over a wide range, precisely set the distances and corrections.
