Features

AVR-S740H with discrete powerful power amplifiers on all channels provides maximum performance and 165 watts of power per channel (6 Ohms), channels: 7.2. Featuring a low impedance driver, it provides stability with a wide range of speakers for balanced, high-quality sound. In addition, the Eco Mode auto mode adjusts the output power for the speakers based on the volume level and on-screen ecometer, providing real-time power savings. Enter action with 3D surround sound Dolby Atmos, DTS: X and DTS Virtual: X, enjoying the best video files such as Dolby Vision, HDR, HLG and 4K for enlarging video.

Design and build

The Receiver has 4K passthrough up to 60p. It can bypass HDR10, Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log Gamma. Dolby Vision provides astonishing brightness, deeper darks, expanded contrast, ultra vivid colors, refined details and enhanced dimensionality.

Connectivity

In its arsenal there are six HDMI inputs (4K / HDR) and one output, Bluetooth, Ethernet / Wi-Fi, USB (for charging and playback), three digital inputs (two optical and coaxial). Denon AVR-S740H can be connected to internet using ethernet cable or built-in wi-fi adapter. It can also connect to bluetooth devices via built-in bluetooth adapter. The Receiver works with Amazon Alexa and supports AirPlay 2. It has 6 HDMI inputs with HDCP 2.2 copy protection. There is a phono input with built-in phono stage for connecting the cartridge output of the turntable directly to the Receiver. Front panel has HDMI and USB inputs.

Setup

To control the Denon AVR-S740H, you can use the proprietary mobile application available for devices based on iOS and Android. For music lovers, it is possible to transfer music over the network using proprietary HEOS technology, as well as playback from USB. HEOS is now one of the competing multiroom systems and is used by Denon and Marantz.
