There are 2.0 built-in channels. The output power is 120W. In total there are two digital inputs - HDMI and optical, there is also an analog input on the 3.5 mm mini-jack, outputs - HDMI and an analog output to the subwoofer. Support for all major signal formats and HDMI functions is present, including HDR10 and HLG, as well as ARC and CEC control protocols. Wireless capabilities are represented here by Bluetooth of the latest version 5.0, which is enough to connect a smartphone or tablet and stream music from them. The kit also includes a small and convenient remote control.

The 2.0-channel device has output power of 60W. For the formation of surround sound in the soundbar provides DTS Virtual: X technology. With its help, the soundtrack of films becomes fascinating and dynamic, with a wide distribution of images in all directions. Available on Yamaha YAS-109 and Dolby Digital Decoder. For additional sound processing in the Yamaha YAS-109, you can use the DSP, which has several modes of operation. With Clear Voice technology, you can get the most articulated and natural dialogue transmission. 
Yamaha YAS-108 pros & cons
Pros
- The bass is surprisingly powerful for it's size
- 3D Surround is probably something I'll keep on till this soundbar dies
- Bass extension takes it to another level
Cons
- DTS Virtual:X is horrible. You'll know when it's on when you see the surround LED blue
Yamaha YAS-109 pros & cons
Pros
- Surprisingly, under a metal RV port 24' x 40' with 15' ceiling, there is no problem hearing the music clearly
- Having Alexa in the unit (works only with internet connection), it's nice to get updates, change the music selection all with voice control
Cons
- Alexa suddenly stopped working without explanation and there's no troubleshooting available for that
