Read MoreI really liked comparing VIZIO SB3621n-F8M vs Yamaha YAS-108. This is a 2.1 sound bar system, designed to complement 40” class tv’s. The SB3621n-F8M now includes DTS Virtual:X, which is a fairly cutting edge audio codec that can simulate the surround and overhead sound of the DTS:X codec (hence the “virtual” descriptor) without actually needing the actual positioned speakers. Basically, it can make it sound like you have surround and overhead speakers without actually having them, which is quite the cool feature for a 2.1 system that remains as inexpensive as this one is.
But what if we take Yamaha YAS-108 vs VIZIO SB3621n-F8M. In total, there are two digital inputs - HDMI and optical, there is also an analog input on a 3.5 mm mini-jack, outputs - HDMI and an analog output to a subwoofer. Support for all major signal formats and HDMI functions - present, including HDR10 and HLG, as well as ARC and CEC control protocols. Wireless capabilities here are presented by Bluetooth of the latest version 5.0, which is enough to connect a smartphone or tablet and stream music from them. The kit also includes a small and convenient remote control. There are 2.0 built-in channels.
