Marantz SR6012 vs Denon AVR-X3400H

Connections & Setup

This Marantz SR6012 vs. Denon AVRX3400H comparison based on my test of hi-end receivers. SR6012 equipped with 9 channel amplifier and can work in 11.2-channel mode versus the maximum 7 channels in AVRX3400H. Both receivers have the standard set of inputs and ability to work in multi-room mode. The Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room correction system is responsible for sound fine-tuning. However, the Denon provides the manual for custom tuning.

Design & Usability

The SR6012 has huge metal body with mate front panel. There are small display and two big knobs. A lot of controls and additional hidden under the plastic panel. The AVRX3400 has the mate front panel with the glossy part near display. It needs to indicate in Denon AVRX3400H vs Marantz SR6012 review, that Denon is smaller than Maranz.
