I managed to compare Yamaha YSP-5600 vs Samsung HW-N950, the Yamaha YSP-5600 has 4 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output, 2 optical and 1 digital input, IR input / output, analog stereo input on RCA connectors, and a subwoofer output. The device also includes a full on-screen menu with the ability to display over the image submitted to the HDMI input. With all the abundance of components, the Yamaha YSP-5600 is pretty easy to configure. For optimal sound, we recommend connecting components to the soundbar through an HDMI input, with an HDMI ARC cable. It should be noted that with Dolby Atmos or DTS: X technologies, you cannot receive surround sound through any cable connection except HDMI. 
Samsung HW-N950 review
I also tested another side Samsung HW-N950 vs Yamaha YSP-5600. It is equipped with 17 speakers, including two additional ones, which direct the sound up and to both sides of the listener, creating the effect of complete immersion. The soundbar also has wireless rear speakers and a subwoofer for multi-dimensional 7.1.4 sound. Thanks to a broadband tweeter, cinematic sound quality is available anywhere in the room. You can connect the soundbar to your home wireless network and control the sound through the SmartThings application. It is distributed with support for DTS: X and Dolby Atmos formats. On top of this this model has the power of 512W and 7.1.4 built-in channels.

Pros
- The 3D surround technology was impressive even though I have it set up in a non-standard
- Right out of the box the surround was impressive

- After I used the built in system to fine-tune the surround, it was worse
Samsung HW-N950 pros & cons
Pros
- Setup was easy and I didn’t run into issues syncing the rear surround speakers to the soundbar
- Dialogue/speech are crystal clear
Cons
- I wish some type of demo mode or sound setup was included to highlight the features
