On many soundtracks, the DTS YAS-209 displays impressive lively sound. All sound effects gain real strength and weight. And their distribution over the sound stage, offered by DTS Virtual:X processing, is also quite adequate to the video sequence. As expected, the Yamaha YAS-209 panel gives a lot of bass, but it does not suppress the sound. Yamaha remains crisp and well-projected even during intense operations. Possessing an energy and punch compared to some soundbars in this class, there is a nagging feeling that the panel tightens the front of the punch.
