What about VIZIO SB3651-E6 vs VIZIO SB3651-F6, E6 doesn’t try to use DSP or artificial processing to simulate a surround-sound experience. Instead, a pair of dedicated speakers handle side-surround duties. The speakers are small enough to pass inspection from most spouses, but they'll raise eyebrows from home theater purists. The surround speakers plug into the subwoofer with very long long speaker wires terminating with RCA connectors. There are 5.1 built-in channels.

Pros
- The sound is clear, bass is more than sufficient
- Once you get used to it, the remote is even fine for what it is
- The room I put this in is also really large, with coffered ceiling and an open floor plan - the sound fills the space no problem
Cons
- I do wish I could figure out how to control the soundbar volume with my main remote. It's in the instructions but it's more complicated than I can handle right now
