I compared Samsung HW-N850 vs Sony HT-Z9F, and here is what I think. The HW-N850 is a simplified version of the HW-N950. This system has a configuration of 5.1.2; The set includes the main module and subwoofer. Novelties provide high quality sound. Declared support for Dolby Atmos and DTS: X technologies. The drivers are individually powered by a built-in amplifier with a total power of 372 watts, and the soundbar and auxiliary module are reported to have a frequency response from 34 Hz to 17 kHz. Samsung does not break these numbers, but it can be assumed that the subwoofer processes all lower frequencies. 
Sony HT-Z9F review
Concerning Sony HT-Z9F vs Samsung HW-N850 the subwoofer itself sounds good and deep. It can drop to 31.5 Hz and slightly sticks out at a frequency of 50 Hz. The most melodic bass is heard in the region of 100 Hz. The soundbar cuts off the sound at a frequency of 200 Hz. When it comes to placement, it is best not to place both devices too far apart. The ZF9 soundbar is High Res Audio certified, as evidenced by the logo on the front panel. Tracks can be played from USB or via the network. You can play DSD and FLAC 192 kHz 24-bit, and if you have low-resolution audio sources, Sony offers DSEE HX scaling. There are Dolby Atmos and DTS: X technologies, its power is 400W and it features 3.1 built-in channels.

Pros
- I have to point out that build quality is really top notch, and is very heavy for a sound bar
- It would eliminate all the complication of setting up multi speakers and wiring them all over the place

Pros
- It targets a specific buyer - those who really appreciate sound but don't want to spend ridiculous money
- No issues connecting with my PS4PRO and being able to still use all my smart TV functions
Cons
- If you have a smart TV and use its smart features, you still need to maintain two remotes
