Samsung HW-Q60R vs Samsung HW-N650 review

Samsung HW-N650 review

Both soundbars have 5.1 channels and 360W of power. The connection and control is complicated by the lack of a full screen: it is, but very tiny and hidden under a grid on the right side of the soundbar. To be precise, this is not a display, but an alphanumeric indicator. In addition to the usual HDMI, there is an optical and RCA connector, so you can connect even the most advanced model. The most logical way to control the soundbar is from the remote control, and if you have one of the compatible Samsung TV models, it can be a remote control from the TV itself. In extreme cases, there are main buttons on the sidebar of the soundbar. Samsung HW-N650

Samsung HW-Q60R review

The Samsung HW-Q60R soundbar looks identical to the more expensive HW-Q70R, with exactly the same main unit. Build quality is very good, and a low form factor will not block the screen. Spartan design uses a black finish with metal accents. There is a small display on the front right that displays basic information, for example, the selected source or volume level. There are some simple controls on the right sidebar. The HW-Q60 Soundbar comes with optional holders for more stable support. But if you prefer wall mounting, then brackets, screws and a template are provided for this. Samsung HW-Q60R

Samsung HW-Q60R pros & cons

Pros

  • Setup is very simple. If you know where you’re going to put these speakers, it’ll take you less than 10 minutes
  • The overall built quality is all premium. A metal finish to the edges and rear while still keeping it simple (not flashy), makes this a valuable accessory for your television

Cons

  • You’ll need some support if you want to wall mount it
  • Only two HDMI inputs
