When testing Yamaha YAS-207 vs Sony HT-CT800, I was surprised that Yamaha YAS-207 turned out to be an elegant dynamic wireless soundbar that is capable of supporting the modern sound format DTS Virtual: X, which makes it possible to provide the user with the effect of being in the cinema, thanks to realistic sound simulating ceiling speakers. The device is equipped with a traditional layout, and an exciting sound effect is provided by the use of sound tracks DTS: X. There are 2.1 built-in channels. The power output is 100W.

What’s concerning Sony HT-CT800 vs Yamaha YAS-207, I was glad that the speakers located on each side of the soundbar provide clear sound in the mid and high frequency ranges, and the wireless subwoofer makes the bass sound rich and bright. S-Force PRO Front Surround technology simulates the atmosphere of a movie theater with ambient sound and makes it possible to feel at the very epicenter of the film's events. Support for HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) allows you to connect to a TV with one cable, and three HDMI inputs provide the freedom to connect to various devices. The Soundbar HT-CT800 is compatible with the HDCP 2.2 copy protection standard, which supports the latest 4K formats. It has 2.1 built-in channels and 650W power output.

Pros
- The sound bar has excellent sound (which is its primary purpose)
- Hdmi works well with my Vizio TV as the sound level displays on the TV
- Also allows you to use the same remote
Cons
- What I lost when I tested the Yamaha soundbar was integration ease
Sony HT-CT800 pros & cons
Pros
- It has Chromecast. I can easily stream music from google via my phone or google home
- The CT800 is more streamlined as well making it less likely to block The IR sensor on the TV
Cons
- After I've finished casting to the soundbar, it will repeatedly switch to a different HDMI port and bring up its on-screen interface while i'm watching TV
