Read MoreThe power of the amp is 40W per channel at 8 ohms. At the same time Onkyo A-9150 has 30W (8 Ohms). Thanks to the built-in converter CS4398 (24 bit / 192 kHz), the amplifier can be used as an external DAC. To do this, there is a coaxial input and a pair of optical inputs on its rear panel (the PM6005 model was equipped with only one optical connector), and the entire printed circuit board of the digital circuit is in a metal case-screen and does not adversely affect analog circuits. There is a set of linear RCA inputs, MM phono stage connectors, a recording output, and D-Bus system bus switching.
Onkyo A-9150 uses special Discrete SpectraModule discrete modules instead of conventional microcircuits. As a result, it is possible to increase the slew rate of the output signal and obtain exceptional linearity in a wide frequency band, as well as provide a high instantaneous voltage, which is ultimately expressed in its breathtaking depth of sound stage, improved separation of musical instruments and excellent transient characteristics. The power supply is equipped with a custom high-current transformer and a pair of high-quality high-capacitor capacitors.
