Rega Brio vs Marantz HD-AMP1 review

Marantz HD-AMP1 vs Rega Brio

Marantz HD-AMP1 review

This unit delivers 20W/8 Ohms of power vs 58/8 from his opponent. The equipment, having a weight of 5.8 kg, received a metal case with a massive aluminum front panel and elegant wood trim on the sides. The manufacturer used only first-class materials and special chassis, which made it possible to achieve a very low level of vibrations in operation. In addition to several control buttons, a USB connector and headphone output, the Marantz HD-AMP1 model is equipped with a round display, a pair of large knobs to select a source and change the volume. Rega Brio review

The Rega Brio integrated amplifier has a completely new aluminum casing with two compartments: this design improved the heat sink, which was famous for the previous version of Brio, and also added strength and reliability to the casing. Inside the amplifier, the wiring has been completely updated to match the higher characteristics of the device. In particular, an additional power source was installed to improve the isolation between sensitive input and powerful output stages, linear stages and phono stage circuits. In addition, the linear circuits and phono stage circuitry use advanced operational amplifiers. Amplifier Rega Brio has a built-in high-end MM phono stage and headphone amplifier. The built-in headphone amplifier is designed to prevent interference in the sound circuit when not in use. Rega Brio
