Marantz PM8006 vs Marantz PM8005

Marantz PM8006 review

The models from the same series line have rather different power output figures. PM8006 has 70W while PM8005 has only 35W both at 8-ohm load. It is made in a corporate design with a curly aluminum front panel, on which there are all controls arranged symmetrically relative to the vertical axis. In addition to the usual input selector and volume control, there are also tone controls for low, medium and high frequencies, as well as buttons for selecting operating modes. Among them is a selector of two pairs of connected speakers and “direct” audio supply bypassing auxiliary circuits, as well as turning on the input of a power amplifier. Marantz PM8006

Marantz PM8005 review

The Marantz PM8005 integrated amplifier is made entirely on discrete elements according to a circuit with current feedback. The device combines audiophile sound quality and good functional equipment, allowing you to create universal audio systems on its basis. On the rear panel of the amplifier there are gold-plated RCA sockets for six signal sources, adjustable and unregulated outputs, as well as a direct input for supplying a signal to the terminal.
