Both Yamaha models are decent choices what is proved by the equal channel quantity of 9.2. However, RX-A3080 has a bit less power: 150/8 against 165/8 W/Ohm. This maximizes sound effects in movie theaters, faithfully reproducing a new dimension of realism for a sound field with a rich sense of presence and without a sense of boundaries. 
Yamaha RX-A3070BL review
The Yamaha RX-A3070 is available to support a full 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos. This receiver is based on the ESS Sabre ES9026PRO DAC. It is a 32-bit unit. The RX-A3070BL has a huge advantage – bi-amping support which positively affects sound quality. The standard protocols such as Bluetooth, AirPlay, and wi-fi streaming are on board and can transmit hi-res audio. The Yamaha RX-A3070 is well specified on both movies and music fronts. There’s native support for a few more streaming services – Spotify Connect, Tidal, and Deezer. 
Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A3080 pros & cons
Pros
- The RX-A3080 is extremely well designed, extremely well made, and comes from a company with some serious history and breadth
- There are a ton of inputs and outputs, with plenty of power from a very solid, well-designed platform
Cons
- I wish for a way to save configuration settings to an external storage device
- There is no paper owner's booklet. It comes with a CD, or you can download it from the Yamaha website
