The device is equipped with object-oriented 3D audio formats - Dolby Atmos and DTS: X. For full audio playback, VSX-LX503 has built-in decoders, as well as a sufficient power of 180 W/channel. With 7 HDMI inputs and 2 outputs, the VSX-LX503 is capable of becoming a switch for a wide variety of sources and 4K video display devices. For creating a multi-room system, the receiver offers FlareConnect technology, as well as DTS Play-Fi, based on dual-band Wi-Fi. In addition to this, there are Apple Airplay and Bluetooth.
Marantz SR5013 review
The Marantz SR5013 is a great home cinema solution with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS: X formats. The amp section delivers 110 W/channel. The video section includes 8 HDMI inputs with full compatibility with the latest specifications of 4K content. With integrated HEOS wireless technology, the SR5013 can become the heart of a multi-room music system. However, in additional to Pioneer VSX-LX503 vs Marantz SR5013 comparison, the Third-zone mode is available only in the VSX-LX503. The R5013 also comes with native support of Bluetooth and AirPlay 2 for live music streaming.
