The flagship THX-certified TX-RZ820 AV receiver delivers truly stunning audio performance. Proprietary dynamic audio amplification system delivers instantaneous power with high currents for swinging large speakers. More Onkyo TX-RZ820 specs are here in the Onkyo TX-RZ820 review.
The Onkyo TX-RZ820 7.2 Channel AV Receiver is THX Select certified to guarantee reference sound quality comparable to a sound in a commercial movie theater. The presence of a 32-bit signal processor allows Onkyo TX-RZ820 to decode Dolby Atmos formats in 5.2.2-channel configuration and DTS: X. DTS Neural: X and Dolby Surround codecs are supported for converting the sound of conventional multi-channel formats to object-oriented three-dimensional sound. The power is 180 W / channel at 6 Ohms.
The design involves discrete amplifiers with dynamic amplification technology, which produce an instant large current and can easily swing large full-range speakers. As a result, excellent transient characteristics and a powerful dynamic sound supply in a wide range of frequencies from 5 Hz to 100 kHz are provided. Technology that prevents phase displacement is also used. The model uses modern AK4458 DACs and VLSC technology that eliminates impulse noise. Speakers can be calibrated by AccuEQ, and AccuReflex technology ensures phase compatibility of speakers for Dolby Atmos with other speakers.
The rear of the Onkyo TX-RZ820 has six HDMI inputs that support 4K / 60 Hz signal skipping, as well as HDR10, Dolby Vision (dynamic metadata, 12-bit color depth), HLG for broadcasts, HDCP 2.2 and BT .2020. The HDMI input on the front panel does not support 4K / 60 Hz, HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG and BT.2020. For the second zone there is a separate HDMI output. You can select the 7.2-channel Pre Out, connectors MM-phono stage, LAN port, optical and coaxial inputs. Eleven pairs of screw terminals are provided for connecting speakers.
The receiver is prepared for wireless streaming. At his disposal is Bluetooth, AirPlay and dual-band Wi-Fi. At the same time, using the Onkyo Controller application, you can combine speakers into groups and control music playback throughout the house.
