Home theater with high definition audio and video is great news - and the Marantz SR5012 specs can bring it all to your home. Is it really so? Read in Marantz SR5012 review.
The 7.2-channel Marantz SR5012 receiver, power 7 x 100 W (8 Ohms), is equipped with the latest AV technologies that can take any home theater system to a new level. The model is trained to work with modern formats of object-oriented 3D-sounding DTS: X and Dolby Atmos in 5.1.2-channel configuration. The device supports Ultra HD resolution and has an upscaler that can increase the resolution of any video to 4K. It is not only compatible with the full range of 4K Ultra High Definition options - high-definition video, but also with a resolution of 4K 60Hz video in HDR, and is also compatible with Dolby Vision technology and the Hybrid Log Gamma correction curve.
The Marantz SR5012 has seven discrete HDAM modular amplifiers with current feedback, each of which guarantees clean, dynamic sound with a wide frequency band and delivers 100 W (8 Ohm) power enough to sound spacious rooms. The receiver easily copes even with four-column speakers, and the proprietary eco-mode makes it possible to save its energy consumption.
The Marantz SR5012 receiver received eight HDMI input ports, one of which is placed on the facade. The ports support 4K / 60 Hz resolution, HDCP 2.2 protection protocol, BT.2020 color space and HDR video: HDR10, Dolby Vision (12 bit) and HLG standard for broadcasts (available after updating the software). Two HDMI outputs provide simultaneous connection to a TV and a projector. You can pay attention to the presence of four digital inputs, 7.1-channel analog input, as well as 7.2-channel output. To connect the speakers, seven pairs of screw terminals marked in color are used.
For automatic speaker calibration, the Audyssey MultEQ XT system is used, supplemented by Dynamic Volume (equalizes the volume level in real time) and Dynamic EQ (corrects the frequency response / tonal balance, ensuring full-range sound even at low volume).
