The NR1608 is the new flagship device supporting 4K / 60 video with HDCP 2.2. The model has a 7-channel amplifier and can operate a 5.1.2-channel configuration with Dolby Atmos and DTS: X. The power of the amplifier is 50 W/channel, which is not much versus the Marantz NR1607 since the NR1607 produces 50 W (min) – 90 W (max) per channel. The device is equipped with stereo output for the second music zone but also has a built-in HEOS. The NR1608 has a complete set of relevant network interfaces for communication with the outside world. System configuration is done using Audyssey MultEQ.
Marantz NR1607 review
Marantz NR1607 is a 7.2-channel receiver, assembled in a slim package. It works perfectly with the Dolby Atmos 3D sound format in 5.1.2 configuration.
