Denon AVR-X3600H review
Having 9.2 channels this unit’s output power is 180 watts per channel (6 ohms). IMAX Enhanced technology is supported with a special version of the DTS codec, which allows you to get the same highest quality sound and image as in IMAX movie theaters. There is an upscaler that can increase the resolution of any video to 4K. the device received eight HDMI inputs (one on the front panel) supporting 4K Ultra HD / 60 Hz, HDCP protocol version 2.3 and HDR video standards HDR10 / Dolby Vision / HLG. There is support for automatic game mode ALLM with low latency for Xbox One consoles. Of the three HDMI outputs, one works with an extended eARC return channel, which can broadcast 3D audio (Dolby Atmos, etc.) to the AV receiver directly from the TV panel. One can distinguish the presence of an MM phono stage, a block of digital inputs, and an 11.2-channel Pre Out.
Onkyo TX-NR797 review
It offers 220 watts per channel at 8 ohms. The unit boasts 9.2 channels. Works with Sonos, Chromecast built-in, AirPlay 2, and DTS Play-Fi are enhanced by high-speed 802.11ac Wi-Fi while speaker outputs with DACs can power D/A audio in three rooms. With nine channels of high-current power on tap, roll up the volume to THX Certified Select reference level and wrap your family in 5.2.4 channels of Dolby Atmos or DTS:X sound, or feel IMAX Enhanced*2 content as the filmmakers intended.

- More power than its predecessor

- I find manual a bit difficult for newbies

- It happily interfaces with all of your other equipment and streaming services
- It is controlled by an app that I have on my phone and iPad
Cons
- The Bluetooth and airplay disconnect randomly. So I am buying a separate Bluetooth adapter to see if it will work better
