Features

To specify Audioengine S8 specs, let’s see its features. It has an 8″ custom woofer and is small enough to place in a corner or hide behind furniture. The S8 delivers great bass performance and it's low, tight, and smooth bass will blend well with the other speakers in your system. The AV class high power amplifier has a built-in voltage switch and a removable power cord. You receive 250W peak power total (125W RMS) and 27 Hz - 180 Hz frequency range. Variable adjustable rear panel controls for Crossover, Phase, and Subwoofer Volume allow you to easily adjust the S8's output and blending with your speakers. An auto-sleep standby feature turns the S8 amplifier off when you're not playing music.

Design and build

Square case with side about 30 cm. Woofer 20 cm. This active subwoofer can be placed in a corner or hidden behind furniture. The S8 has an ultrafast woofer for music and home theater. Inside the case there is an anti-resonant steel frame and speaker on heavy rubber suspensions for accurate and fast reproduction of low frequencies. Precisely designed bass reflex port, low distortion at high volume. In other words, it is a small subwoofer with a dense, smooth and naturally sounding bass. Specially designed handcrafted cases, glossy white or matte black make the S8 a true work of art. Cases are made of MDF board 2.6 cm thick, with internal partitions to eliminate unwanted resonances and distortions. The volume, phase, and cutoff controls on the rear of the S8 make it easy to set up a subwoofer with speakers. When music is not playing, the S8 automatically goes into sleep mode.
