This review is about 7.2-channel surround sound with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. This unit has output power of 145 watts (6 ohms). The free MusicCast Controller app makes it easy to access your music library and streaming music services. Add audio in up to 9 additional rooms with MusicCast wireless speakers or other MusicCast devices. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay wireless connectivity, advanced speaker configurations and Zone B audio provide added system versatility.
The visual Yamaha TSR-5810 review shows me that the unit has relatively modest parameters (17.1 x 12.9 x 6.4 inches). The only thing that confuses me is a pretty impressive weight (17.9 pounds). My thin shelves are not able to withstand the pressure. The design, in general, looks classically, but the abundance of buttons and connectors on the front panel are weird-looking. Black color makes the corps very presentable, as well as the division into matte and glossy parts.
The device has 4 HDMI inputs and 1 output and such a number are enough for everyday usage. All of them have a great sensitivity. I have only 1 problem with 4 available AV inputs: 2 of them don’t work properly and I can’t do anything to fix the problem. Perhaps, the reason is a defect in the assembly.
The setting process is very easy and will be understandable even for those people, who have never been the receiver owners. The on-screen guide includes a detailed description of each step and manipulation. The screen shut down only once. Such a surprise doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable or lose the whole setting progress. The YPAO also is perceived as a great helper that performs the system’s optimization quick and easy.
