The Yamaha RX-V675 is a 7.2-channel network AV receiver equipped with a power amplifier. Like its popular predecessors of the 6th series, the model has impeccable quality. What are the other Yamaha RX-V675 specs? See in this Yamaha RX-V675 review.
This 7.2-channel network AV receiver is equipped with a 90 W x 7 (8 Ohm) power amplifier and supports cutting-edge technologies such as video scaling to 4K Ultra HD and pass-through of 4K video signals from compatible sources via HDMI. The Total Purity concept, which Yamaha has been developing for several years, encompasses powerful amplification technology, “clean” pre-amplification, vibration protection and a “clean” power supply.
Externally, the RX-V675 is almost identical to its predecessor, the RX-V673. The new model, whose solid body weighs 10 kg, is available in black and titanium and its front panel as a whole has remained unchanged. Here you will find the volume control, display, buttons for quick access to playback controls, radio settings and external sources, as well as sound processing modes. The only significant change is the sixth HDMI input with support for the growing popularity of MHL (Mobile High-definition Link) technology for transmitting video and audio content directly from Android smartphones. It is located next to the “Made for iPod” USB port, which allows you to charge and play content from devices based on iOs.
The Yamaha RX-V675 is equipped with six HDMI inputs, five of which are located on the rear panel (and one is displayed on the front panel), and supports 3D video, and the HDMI output with the ARC (Audio Return Channel) function avoids confusion with wires. On the rear panel there are several analog inputs / outputs, many composite and component inputs / outputs, as well as a coaxial and optical digital input.
Before the final evaluation of the system, I let it work for several days, and only then we configure it using the proprietary automatic calibration system YPAO (Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer), which pretty accurately adjusts the acoustics, taking into account all the features of the room.
