Features

With a breakdown power of 100 watts (at 8 ohms), the RX-A870 is powerful enough for large rooms and all types of speakers. Dolby Atmos uses speakers to create multidimensional, immersive sound that's right for the best movie theaters. Also provides amazing power, compatibility with high definition audio. This gives a sound that is much more natural than standard. The receiver supports DSD 2.8 MHz / 5.6 MHz, FLAC / WAV / AIFF 192 kHz / 24 bit and Apple Lossless 96 kHz / 24 bit for wide file playback.

Design and build

7.2-channel AV receiver Aventage is of exceptional design quality. Anti-resonance technology (ART) makes this AVR extremely resistant to mechanical and electrical noise. ART includes a frame with transverse H-shaped elements and a rigid chassis with additional lower frames, anti-vibration radiators, which gives the RX-A870 excellent detail and resolution.

Connectivity

With the RX-A870, you not only get HDMI connectors that go through UHD 4K, you also get 4K built-in zoom. This means that as long as you have a UHD 4K TV, all of your high-definition video sources can be viewed up to 4K. The receiver also has eight HDMI inputs. The connectors are compatible with HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG, HDCP2.2 and BT.2020 for full compatibility with HD formats and sources.

Setup

If you use a different brand of smartphone or tablet, you also have Bluetooth, for the convenience of playing music from your portable device. Bluetooth output makes it easy to connect headphones or even a speaker for listening outdoors. With standard Wi-Fi, it’s easy to connect to your home network. You can access your saved music from a PC, laptop or NAS, listen to Internet radio stations and music services. Another great feature is the downloadable Apple or Android app, which allows you to control many of the receiver functions from your smartphone, iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad or tablet.
