Features

The device uses WRAT technology, which provides high quality sound in the wide frequency range. It is based on the use of shallow negative feedback circuits, closed grounding loops and high instantaneous currents, which provides dynamic sound and the absence of distortion and noise during playback. The Onkyo TX-8020 test revealed the device’s ability to deliver 90 watts per channel to 6 ohms.

Design and build

The strict design in black and silver colors gives the receiver solidity and dignity. The central facade is occupied by a display window with a built-in joystick on the right and functional control buttons at the bottom, which allow you to adjust the brightness, contrast, tone, display information on the display and add stations to the system. WRAT technology provides excellent sound quality over a wide frequency range. It is based on shallow negative feedback circuits providing a natural dynamic sound, on closed grounding loops that minimize distortion, and on the use of high instantaneous currents that help equalize the acoustic impedance. Selected components are involved. The output stage is built on discrete elements, and a massive W-shaped transformer is installed in the power supply unit.

Connectivity

Inputs: five linear RCA (you can connect CD-, DVD- or Blu-ray-players, TV, recording monitoring deck and Onkyo DS-A5 RI Dock for iPod / iPhone / iPad, supporting AirPlay function), MM input phono corrector, a pair of coaxial and one optical. There are outputs for recording and for a subwoofer. There are 4 pairs of terminals for acoustics, allowing the use of connectors such as "spatula" and "banana". Using these terminals, you can connect another pair of speakers and install it in another room. There are slots for AM and FM antennas, an RI system bus connector and a grounding terminal.

Setup

The setup was quite easy. All the instructions are given clearly which even a child can understand.
